My time as a client in Sobriety Experience has changed my life drastically. Everyday being around women who care and love me and who hold me accountable for my actions plays a very big part in my recovery. Coming from the streets, dying, tired, unable to stay sober to moving into one of the most beautiful homes I have ever seen seemed scary at first. How could I possibly fit in with this lifestyle? How could I possibly live sober and be happy? These women have taught me how to do exactly that. Waking up together sipping on coffee and smoking a cigarette in the morning with my sisters in sobriety surrounding me. Attending meetings everyday, laughing with each other, crying with each other is a feeling I have never felt before in my life. Having the ability to hold another woman and tell her how much I love her because I am her, is a gift. Life gets hard, and dealing with sobriety on top of it can seem impossible. This house and these women make it possible. I now live a life full of peace and love, it’s not always easy, it takes work. Every single day it takes a lot of work. I do know one thing and that I couldn’t have done all this work without this home and without these women. My life is beautiful, I am sober, I can hold a job, pay my bills, show up whenever I am called to and I do it with a smile on my face that is no longer a fake smile. I am forever grateful for this house, this program, and these women. I have made friends for life.Arianna
